Multicultural Day 2025 

Multicultural Day is a celebration of unity and diversity, grounded in the belief that Huarahi Hou represents the true spirit of social cohesion. Each year on the last Friday of August, communities across Aotearoa New Zealand come together to honour cultures, share traditions, and strengthen the bonds that tie us together as one motu.

More than a cultural showcase, the day symbolises our collective commitment to building understanding, respect, and harmony among all peoples. As a significant community event, Multicultural Day will be celebrated at the New Zealand Parliament on the evening of Wednesday, 20 August 2025.
